Why Is an Instagram Story Expired or Unavailable?
Stories are time-limited by design. A public Story can disappear after its availability window, while a signed media URL can expire sooner.

Current Story versus expired Story
The Instagram Story Downloader can process a Story only while Instagram exposes it publicly. An expired or deleted Story is not restored by refreshing the page.
A public account URL with no active Stories should report that no current Story is available, rather than a generic server failure.
