How to Download Instagram Stories
Use a copied link to one Story or the public profile’s Stories page. You do not need to give IG Tools your Instagram password.

Save only Stories that are currently available
Stories are temporary. IG Tools can show only media Instagram currently makes available from a public account; it cannot recover expired or private Stories.
One Story or all current Stories from a public profile
A link such as instagram.com/stories/username/123… targets one Story. A link ending at instagram.com/stories/username/ can return the profile’s currently available public Stories in chronological order.
Photo and video items appear separately. For several results, select the files you want or download all available items; no ZIP file is created.
Why a Story link may stop working
Stories and their signed media links expire. A deleted, expired, private or Close Friends Story cannot be retrieved by this tool. If a current preview stops loading, use Refresh links and try again.
Instagram can also temporarily limit requests. If the Story is visible on Instagram but the tool cannot resolve it, wait and retry; availability cannot be guaranteed for every public profile.
Video sound, quality and saving on phones
Video resolution and audio depend on the file Instagram serves. IG Tools reports dimensions when they can be verified and checks downloaded video files for an audio track; it does not upscale or add missing sound.
Your browser normally fetches the selected file from Instagram or Meta’s CDN. On iPhone, Safari may open it first; use the Share menu to save to Photos or Files. Only save content you own or have permission to use.

Can I download every current Story from one profile?
A public profile Stories link can list its currently available public items in order. You can select individual files or use the batch download control.
Can I download an expired or private Story?
No. Expired, deleted, private and Close Friends Stories are not supported, even if an old link still exists.
Do I need to sign in or provide my Instagram password?
No. Visitors do not sign in to IG Tools or provide Instagram credentials. Access to public Stories can still depend on Instagram’s current availability.
Why is a Story video silent or unavailable?
Instagram may serve a video without an audio track, or limit access temporarily. Refresh the link once; IG Tools cannot add missing audio or recover expired content.
How do I save a Story on iPhone?
After resolving the Story, use Download. If Safari opens the file instead, use Share to save it to Photos or Files when that option is available.
