Photo resolution
Instagram may expose more than one image size for the same post. The downloader shows known pixel dimensions so you can select the largest available version without assuming every upload has the same size.
The downloaded image is the CDN file associated with that option. It is not a screenshot and IG Tools does not create an artificial 4K version.
Single images and carousel photos
A normal photo post produces one media card. A carousel produces separate cards in the original slide order, including any videos mixed with the photos.
Each item is saved separately in the first version. ZIP packaging and whole-account downloads are not supported.

Back to the downloaderCan I download an Instagram photo in full size?
You can download the largest image variant Instagram makes available to the public post. The original camera file may not be exposed by Instagram.
Does IG Tools reduce photo quality?
No. Your browser saves the selected CDN image directly; IG Tools does not recompress or resize it.
Can I save every photo in a carousel?
Yes. Each available slide appears in its original order with its own download button.
Can I download photos from a private profile?
No. Private posts and content requiring an Instagram login are not supported.
Where is the photo saved on my phone?
Android usually saves it to Downloads. On iPhone, the browser may use its Downloads list or offer the Share menu for saving to Photos or Files.
