Instagram Photo Download Quality and Dimensions
Instagram may expose several image variants for one post. ig.tools saves the largest available public CDN image, which is not necessarily the original camera file.
Ready to try it? Open the Instagram Photo Downloader
Read real pixel dimensions
The media card shows the saved file's dimensions when Instagram supplies them.
When dimensions are unknown, the downloader leaves them unknown instead of guessing from a thumbnail.
Full size has a practical limit
Instagram can resize images before public delivery. ig.tools cannot recover pixels that are not in the URL Instagram returns, and it does not upscale or sharpen the image.
Use the Instagram Photo Downloader to preview and save the largest available image.
Direct browser saving
The image normally travels directly from Instagram or Meta's CDN to your browser. Temporary links may need to be refreshed before saving.
The best available photo is the largest verified CDN variant, not an invented upscale of a thumbnail.
