ig.tools returns a carousel only when it can identify the complete available item list. It does not replace missing slides with a cover image.
Photos and videos in one post
Instagram carousels can contain only photos, only videos or a mixture of both. The result keeps the original media type and slide order so you can tell which file belongs where.
Image variants show their available dimensions. Video files use the progressive MP4 supplied by Instagram and are checked for audio when downloaded.
How carousel files are saved
Each slide has its own preview and download button. Select several slides to save them together in one ZIP, or save them individually.
ZIPs are created in your browser and have a 128 MB limit. Items that do not fit are skipped, while later files that fit can still be added. Media files are fetched directly from Instagram or Meta’s CDN whenever the browser allows it.
If one carousel slide is unavailable
ig.tools only returns a carousel when it can identify the complete available item list. A missing, expired or blocked slide makes the post unavailable instead of silently replacing it with the cover image.
Refresh links when a previously visible item stops loading. If Instagram still does not expose every slide to an anonymous visitor, the carousel cannot be downloaded reliably from this tool.

Why is a carousel incomplete or unavailable?
Instagram may block anonymous access or change the data it returns. ig.tools fails the resolve instead of knowingly presenting a partial carousel as complete.
Can I download a private carousel?
No. Only carousel posts publicly accessible without Instagram credentials are supported.
